Positive Affirmations: How you can change your thoughts
Changing your thoughts can be done with the help of using positive affirmations. Using them daily will eventually help in changing your reality for the better.
How kindly you can speak to yourself will depend largely on your self esteem. You can find out more about
the importance of developing your self esteem by changing your thought patterns with positive affirmations.
Before doing any action, you need to be aware of the kinds of thoughts you have, whether they’re about you or other people. If you find that you play out a lot of negative scenarios or you find yourself speaking negatively about yourself or other people, then you must learn to stop that now. All that does is create damage for you now and later.
Affirming how you would like to feel, first forces you to change the way you speak about yourself, declare what you want to the universe (and to your subconscious mind,) and is an easy, soothing way to shift your way of thinking. Better still, they work.
Eventually, your mind begins to create things to match what your reality to what you affirmed.
Say the following statement out loud. “I am worthy. I am a wonderful person and I deserve the best life has to offer.” How did that feel? You should get to a point where saying these types of things to yourself feels good. If you're not there yet, just acknowledge that and start deciding what you'd like your reality to be anyway. Then intend it by stating it as though it were already real.
You can have a lot of fun with this.
These are great to use when you’re working on building your self confidence.
Ivy and Amanda’s favorite affirmations:
These are some of our favorite positive affirmations that we use regularly. They’re short and to the point. That’s exactly what you want when coming up with your own affirmations. Feel free to start with these.
- "I am successful."
- “I feel terrific.”
- “I am prosperous now.”
- “I am attracting all that I want and need.”
- “The best in me sees the best in you.”
- “I am a good person, worthy of great joy, and love, and having dreams fulfilled.”
The next time you find your mind wandering and thinking things like, “She’s so stupid…I’m always late…This will never work…” replace it right away with positive affirmations like, “She is doing her best…I am reliable and punctual…This will work…”
Eventually, what you state in your affirmations will become truth. Try it, you’ll see.
